Panel Discussion: Art, Politics, and the Media in the Era of Pos

MoCP assistant curator of education and exhibitions Allison Grant will lead a discussion about various strategies used by artists, institutions, journalists, and individuals to locate and expose the truth as a countermeasure to authoritarian state power. Miles Kampf-Lassin is the community editor at In These Times, an independent nonprofit magazine aimed at advancing democracy and economic justice; Zizi Papacharissi is a professor and head ot the communication department at the University of Illinois-Chicago, and has published extensively on the social and political consequences of online media; and Rebecca Zorach is the Mary Jane Crowe Professor in Art and Art History at Northwestern University with a particular interest in print media, feminist and queer theory, theory of representation, and the multiple intersections of art and politics.
