I am interested in responding to the domesticity of the kitchen, but more specifically the development of relationships around food. My recent body of work is related to the ephemerality and bitter-sweet nature of childhood, especially in terms of loss and remembrance. Sunday Supper focuses on my relationship with my maternal grandparents based on food and drink. Growing up, my family would gather at their house for my grandmother’s spaghetti, which was prepared from a great depression recipe. This was a very cheap dinner to make, which is also why it was the first real meal my husband and I cooked together in college.
We invite you to join us Sunday November 6th for the opening of Sunday Supper. Bingham will prepare and serve her family spaghetti
