This event is free and open to all ages.
Starting at the Western Avenue entrance, Eric Leonardson will be leading this event as part of the Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks and as director of the Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology.
The soundwalking series explores our relationship to sounds around us: people, birds, insects, cars, radios, helicopters, amphibians, fish, the wind…
The ecological restoration project that started at West Ridge in 2011 continues. Many native species of plants and animals have returned, visibly and audibly. Scientists monitor its frog population.
