Irena Haiduk: Spells
@ Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts
4 W Burton Pl, Chicago, Illinois 60610
Opening Thursday, June 2nd, from 7PM - 9PM
The Graham Foundation is pleased to host Graham grantee Irena Haiduk for a night of readings and performance centered on her project Spells. Published by Sternberg Press in 2015, Spells collects the artist’s writings to date, gathering the wide-ranging texts and limited-edition publications she has produced since 2007, in a single publication. Presenting an expansive range of formats, the book encompasses manifestos, musical scores, forecasts, conversions, translations, architectural programs, and other difficult-to-categorize, polydisciplinary works. With sharp teeth and killer instinct, Haiduk leads the way to “a sunny spot where every soul suffers infinite injustice.”
With appearances by: Matthew Jesse Jackson, Karsten Lund, Till Wiedeck, and their signatures
