Mindy Rose Schwartz conjures lived experience. Her images ride familiarity just enough that we remain open to them, but we get to places distinctly hers. She fabricates with a wide array of materials and processes that come from specific relationships and moments in personal and cultural history. Mindy often references things from domestic spaces. Her point of view collapses locations, inanimate objects and those that dwell among them, becoming uncanny, foreign, and a pathway inward.
