The Chicago Artists Coalition is pleased to present, “Today is a New Day,” a solo exhibition with work by BOLT Resident, Iris Bernblum.

“Today is a New Day” is a sensorial node, a crisscrossing of feelings and a release of all that has been incubating in Iris Bernblum’s studio for the last three years. Power, play, tension and release come together in a conceptual three-ring circus, where the performer and ringmaster are one in the same. Bernblum’s video, photographs, clown make-up and watercolor paintings, and light installation are unapologetic and without shame. They put out an uninhibited energy to unground oneself from the past and in sync with the here and now.
