A black circle appeared; at first it was small and then it grew larger. I could pass beside it, around it, and behind it , yet it looked the same. _
Then I entered the black circle that turned into a tunnel with a light at the end. _
There was no pain. The light was comforting, entirely comforting and welcoming. I went toward it. Around me was darkness and a void. It was kind of like a tunnel. I was heading for the light when I heard my sister call my name.
Boyfriends is proud to present our second exhibition ‘Keys Open Doors’ featuring the work of Nina Hartmann, Natalie Labriola and Sarah Sieradzki. Please join us for the opening reception October 24th from 7-10pm.
Nina Hartmann (b.1990) is a multi-media artist currently working out of Providence, RI. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013 focusing on Printmaking and Photography.
Natalie Labriola (b. 1987 Mesa AZ) Attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2005-2008. She received her BFA from New York University in 2010 and her MFA from Bard College, Milton Avery Graduate School of Arts in 2015.
Sarah Sieradzki lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She received her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
