Nicole Hollander: Will You Step Into My Parlour?

Join Lillstreet and Chicago cartoonist and writer Nicole Hollander for the reception of “Will You Step Into My Parlour?” Nicole Hollander’s Living Room.

The gallery will be transformed by Hollander’s collected and personal artworks and distinctive home furnishings, creating a replica of her living space. The idea for the show came about when a friend told the artist, “I want to sit in your living room all by myself and just look at your things.” Hollander thought, “Well, maybe somebody else would, too.”

Blending literature, performance, and visual art, this exhibition will transport visitors into the atmosphere that stimulates the artists’ imaginative, feminine focused, and politically provocative work.
