GROUP SHOW includes works by Isabella Kendrick, Tim Mann, Carlos Matul, and features NO FUN.
The ideas in this show are straightforward—the artists want you to see what they do. The blunt humor in Isabella’s work veils an honest optimism. Carlos’s paintings are keen to question what, and how, things are. Tim’s work brings up shared speculations about the world while taking inherent contradictions in stride. Creating a work of art can be stressful, showing something to someone usually isn’t.
As part of GROUP SHOW, NO FUN – a band comprised of Tim Schade and Elliott Reed – will include an installation in and a performance to follow the opening reception. Last year they put out an album titled “The World’s Largest Unsolved Murder Tower” and they will put out another album whenever they feel like it.
