The Franklin is pleased to announce the latest exhibition of artist Karolina Gnatowski. For this exhibition, Gnatowski will present her entire stock of yarns knit out into one magical mountain, Hash Mountain. Gnatowski distinguishes herself by configuring installations in a variety of mediums, predominantly hand-made fabric confections, flirting with a cosmic galaxy of vibrant colors. Come and enjoy this spectacular landscape.
Karolina Gnatowski (b. 1980) is a Chicago based artist. She has a BFA in Fiber and Material Studies from The University of Arts, Philadelphia (2002) and an MFA in Fiber and Material Studies from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago (2007). Her work has been exhibited at Moniquemeloche, Chicago; SideCar Gallery, Hammond, Indiana; The Poor Farm, Little Wolf, Wisconsin; MDW Fair; Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago; Northern Illinois University; Lollapalooza Music Fest; and Arsenal Gallery in Bialystok, Poland.
