On Saturday October 12th 4-7pm, BlueRojoStudios in Chicago’s historic Pullman neighborhood will host its inaugural gallery show OUR/SELVES, featuring new works by Chicago-based figurative painter Robert J. Johnson. Robert is a 2024 recipient of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events Individual Artist Program grant. He is a recent graduate of Studio Incamminati School of Contemporary Realist Art in Philadelphia and holds a BFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design. Please note: OUR/SELVES presents mature themes and imagery.
The show will also host ILLUSION OF CONTROL, a selection of captivating abstracts by special guest artist Astrid Fingerhut. A talented painter and sculptor, Astrid’s abstracts are bold, exciting and colorful. This is a free event. Join us for drinks, hors d’oeuvres and engaging conversation.
