Jason Anthony Harris is a queer solo artist from Brooklyn playing under the moniker Public Speaking. Live, he uses vocals, electronics, and found objects to make densely textured, highly percussive music incorporating free improv, noise, and avant song. He has performed at The Museum of Modern Art and galleries and venues across the U.S. Public Speaking’s music has been featured as New and Notable on Bandcamp, the Needle Drop, and on James Acaster’s BBC podcast Perfect Sounds. His most recent album “An Apple Lodged in My Back” was released last year on Whited Sepulchre Records (Claire Rousay, Midwife, Joy Guidry, etc.).
