Puppy Love. This exhibition explores the emotional complexity of striving for a goal yet never quite reaching it, focusing on the moments of “almost.” Through abstraction, the work reflects on the expectations we place on ourselves and others, as well as the beauty that can emerge from unrealized potential. By embracing the pathetic or incomplete, the exhibition shifts perspectives on what success looks like, elevating the journey over the destination. The pieces invite viewers to find value in vulnerability and imperfection, transforming perceived failure into something endearing, relatable, and even powerful—echoing our inner critique shaped by environments where we learned to walk on eggshells, question our own judgments, and grapple with uncertainty about whether what we’re doing is truly worth anyone’s time.
