This screening is in celebration of the film’s 10th anniversary premiere at the Black Harvest Film Festival. Chicago Filmmakers served as its fiscal sponsor.
Filmmakers Pamela Sherrod Anderson and Sharon Zurek will be in attendance. Joan Crisler, who started the art collection, will also attend.
A Q&A will follow the screening.

Film Description:
Educators and students at Dixon Elementary Public School keep art real in and outside the classroom. Students led by teacher Joy Parham connect history and today’s news in spoken word poetry inspired by the school’s museum-like art collection. Art happens.
