Queer Survival: A Night of Storytelling

Join us Tuesday, March 26, 7pm – 9pm CST, for the first of four extra special storytelling nights happening in Awakenings’ studio space this year!
We’re teaming up with Outspoken, an LGBTQIA+ storytelling show, to host Queer Survival: A Night of Storytelling, a series of quarterly shows that center survivorship and healing in the queer community. Your Outspoken hosts Elizabeth Gomez and Archy Jamjun will lead a full 90 minute performance loaded with powerful, individual stories from queer survivors from all over our city.
Queer Survival: A Night of Storytelling is opern to anyone who believes in our mission that art and community can help surivors heal from trauma, so bring yourself and a friend! This event is free and no RSVP is required.
While this is not an open mic, people are invited to submit a pitch or synopsis of their story to Outspoken for inclusion in Queer Survival: A Night of Storytelling. Entries should be about 8 minutes long and must be submitted via email at info @ awakeningsart.org RE: Queer Survival Night if you’re interested in participating.
