‘Alternate Dimensions’ is a two-person exhibition involving psychedelic multimedia and site-specific painting at Art City.
A self-described ‘math nerd’ with an engineering degree from MIT, Alana Peters creates 2-D representations of 3-D shapes derived from advanced mathematical equations. She employs a variety of materials for her work including acrylics, ink, laser-cut wood, collage, vinyl, and fabrics.
Atticus Gordon’s work examines the merging of physical painting and the illusory realm of digital technologies. He is an MFA candidate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and will be creating a site-specific painting directly on the walls of Art City’s installation space.
Alternate Dimensions will take place at Art City located at 1400 N. Halsted Street in Chicago from March 23 – April 14, 2024. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 23, 4-7pm. Free and open to the public.
