The Art of the DJ: Innovations in Style & Technique. A CBSCM Event

This CBSCM event’s focus is on exploring the changes in DJ’s equipment and craft from 80s to present (technology shifts; workshops on mixing; DJ/dancer/atmosphere).
We are so excite to host our STELLAR line up which, so far, includes the legendary GENE HUNT, roof shaking producers and tastemakers QUICKTASTIC and DJ DOUBLE 8, and legacy holders KARLIE THORNTON and CTRLZORA!
The first panel discussion begins at 11:30am and the second at 1:00pm. And, there will be dj-related workshop activities.
The Community Archiving stations will remain open throughout the event and will include:
Memory map for the public to add nightlife venues
Omeka laptop + Scanner to scan any nightlife items you may want digitized, including taking pics of outfits, clothing, etc.
Oral history interviews onsite
Looping video of omeka map “how to” instructions
