For thousands of years, artists have shown their admiration for dogs by rendering their likenesses. This expansive cross-disciplinary exhibition continues that great tradition.
Dog Show is a survey of representational depictions of dogs made by artists from The Art Of Life and beyond. Like dogs, the works in this show are funny, weird, vulnerable, playful, winsome and sometimes even furry. The many good boys in this show are imagined in print, glass mosaic, ceramic, metal, tapestry, quilting, paper sculpture, collage, drawing, and painting. In Dog Show every dog will have its day.
Exhibited at Circle Contemporary at The Arts of Life, this exhibition includes the artists: Madeleine Aguilar, Chris Austin, Chase Barney, Alex Chitty, Noel Herrera, Em Holzinger, Mae Vitali, Zehra Khan, David Krueger and Ben Marcus, Mac Akin, Lawrence M., Jack O’Sullivan, Carol Pyes, Brian Reed, Mindy Rose Schwartz, Saemee, Alex Scott, Kelly Stone, Maria Vanik, Noah Weider, Jean Wilson, Christina Zion
Please join us for an opening reception June 2nd, 2023 5:00-8:00 pm.
