Rearview Mirror Sessions with Duane Powell – Luther Vandross

Music historian and DJ Duane Powell dedicates the 2023 installment of Rear View Mirror Sessions to four virtuosic vocalists: Chaka Khan (March), Luther Vandross (April), The Isley Brothers (May), and Rick James (June).

Powell will lead audiences on a one-of-a-kind experience. Each session will end with a live performance from an invited musical guest, closing the program with an inspired tribute to that month’s featured artist. On April 20th, RVMS will welcome Kalind Haynes.

Rear View Mirror Sessions is presented by Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture (CSRPC) at the University of Chicago and Soundrotation, in conjunction with BrainTrust Management.
