Apr 9th 2022

Join Sunrise Movement for the first of a two-part workshop series. Sunrise connects their movement and methods with themes explored in Human/Nature.

Sunrise organizer Dejah Powell will facilitate a discussion on the foundations of the climate crisis including: what is happening, who is responsible, and how actions have failed to meet the urgency and scale of the crisis. Breakout groups will provide a platform for individual participants to share reflections on how the climate crisis has affected their lives. The workshop closes by collaboratively envisioning what it means to rebuild society in a way that addresses both the climate crisis and the rampant inequities of our time, which, in the midst of disaster, leave some populations worse off than others.
