Using a recurring motif of floral hanging baskets, Igloria creates an artificial patio for viewers to experience the artist’s latest foray into observations of urban/suburban environments. This site-specific installation will utilize the Franklin’s semi-exposed outdoor setting.
Regin Igloria is a Chicago-based artist who works in mixed media and artists’ books. He has exhibited his work locally and internationally, including Zg Gallery, ANTI Contemporary Arts Festival in Finland, Ryerson Woods, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, The Center for Book Arts NYC, and among others. He is currently the Director of Artists-In-Residence at the Ragdale Foundation in Lake Forest, IL, and the director and founder of North Branch Projects, Chicago (www.nothbranchprojects.com)
