Join Intuit on the third Thursday of the month for Art After Work, a free series of facilitated art-making workshops inspired by outsider and self-taught art and artists from the museum’s collections and exhibitions. This month, Senior Manager of Learning and Engagement Paula Santos will lead a discussion and facilitate a workshop inspired by artist Judith Scott. In the virtual workshop, participants will focus on the texture, materials and wrapping techniques seen in Scott’s work and create their own sculpture.

Suggested materials
– One object to wrap (e.g., a box, a trinket, a small household item; something that sparks the imagination)
– Yarn, string, rope or fabric
– Paper
– Color pencils, markers or crayons

Art After Work is for everyone, including beginners and people who say they “are not artists.” We can all be artists! It is a guided workshop, and instruction will begin at 5 p.m. central.

Closed captions will be available at the virtual program. Please contact Paula Santos at paula@art.org with questions related to accessibility accommodations.

Art After Work is free to join! To show your support to Intuit, please consider the pay-what-you-can option when you complete your reservation. Your contributions help ensure the sustainability of our public programs and support guest lecturers and teaching artists.
