Zach Meisner’s clean, crisp and focused paintings engage with viewers through direct perceptual play. A combination of bold elements, applied through line, color, and form, mingle with subtle sensory responses prompted by ocular shifts embedded within the structures of the paintings themselves. Bordering between object and surface, Meisner’s paintings are internally kinetic, unfolding as reflections of optical phenomena intrinsic to his relationship with geometry.
