Join us for a live discussion in part two of this two-part series on ‘Becoming the ‘Burbs’. Local history leaders continue the conversation of the creation of the suburbs, focusing on their hometowns of Elmhurst, Lombard, and Naperville. Each speaker will present historical demographics and stories of segregation, sundowning, and unfair housing practices in their town. We’ll also have our speakers take your questions live after their presentations.
Speakers:
Dave Oberg, Executive Director of the Elmhurst History Museum
Alison Costanzo, Executive Director of the Lombard Historical Society
Donna Sack, Vice President and Chief Program Officer at Naper Settlement
Zoom link will be available here and on our Museum from Home page.
The exhibition “In Focus” and related programs are generously sponsored by the JCS Arts, Health and Education Fund of DuPage Foundation and David C. & Sarajean Ruttenberg Arts Foundation.
