Nov 13th 2020

Fulton Street Collective (FSC) continues our Second Friday Series with a group opening on lucky Friday the 13th of November.

“Before patriarchal times, Friday the 13th was considered the day of the Goddess. It was considered a day to worship the Divine Feminine that lives in us all and to honor the cycles of creation and death and rebirth.”
We’d like to revisit this theme with an art exhibition entitled DIVINE FEMININITY.

“…before Christianity came along, Friday the 13th was “a very powerful day for feminine energy and creativity,” writes Tanaaz Chubb, an LA-based intuitive behind the website Forever Conscious. ‘Before patriarchal times, Friday the 13th was considered the day of the Goddess. It was considered a day to worship the Divine Feminine that lives in us all and to honor the cycles of creation and death and rebirth.’…Spriggs agrees, adding, ‘Thirteen is a female number, represent[ing] the average number of a woman’s cycle in a year. It is also the number, too, of annual cycles of the moon—viewed by earth-based religions as ‘female.'”

Divine Femininity is a group show featuring works by 13 members of the Fulton Street Collective. We are able to open our doors for three, 45-minute viewings with a maximum of 20 persons per time slot (reservations are required). Our artists will receive 100% of sales, so it’s a great time to show your support for your favorite local artists.
