Curatorial statement:
RITUAL. Prayer is ritual. Community care is ritual. Expression is rital. Bathing is ritual. Silence is ritual. Enter into this collective ritual with us this week as we explore our individual selves and each other through multi-disciplinary community art making and art witnessing. Join us in deconstructing and healing the harm caused by organized religion. Come as you are, and practice this ritual.

ABOUT HOT WHEELZ FESTIVAL:
Hot Wheelz Festival is a live art platform set out to burn rubber, speed up, slow down, dodge cones and redefine acceleration.
We host virtual week-long residencies for Chicago curators, spaces, and collectives to create live programming while loosely approaching the question, “How do we keep moving?”. Each residency includes a Hot Wheelz Festival website page takeover as well as engagements across our different platforms. Hot Wheelz believes live programming hinges on the idea of live experience for the audience, whether that’s watching a live stream, limited engagements with pre-recorded work, virtual reality, or an ever-changing web page.
