Eleftheria Lialios shoots a series of photographs of birds which capture their behaviors up close. She then mounts the images as transparencies into the frames of metal boxes, allowing light to pass through. The boxes act as dioramas for the photos, which examine the social aspects of their interactions with one another, and their solitary practices. Accompanied in the gallery by a looping audio of bird sounds, the installed boxes evoke the fascinating world of birds up close. Also on display are a selection of individual, affordable 10 x 8” prints from the series.
