Art After Work: Virtual Edition
@ Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art
At the time of the event, we’ll post a Zoom link
Opening Thursday, April 30th, from 5PM - 6PM
Art After Work is a free series of drop-in art making inspired by Intuit’s exhibitions and the outsider art genre. While the museum is closed, we’ll be hosting AAW online every other week!
At the time of the event, we’ll post a Zoom link for you to join.
Making art is one way for us to come together as a community to cope during this uncertain time. Along with other Art After Work pals, you can draw, paint, collage, sketch or whatever artistic practice calls to you, from the safe comfort of your own home.
Need inspiration before getting started? Don’t forget, you don’t need fancy art materials to create something meaningful. Outsider and self-taught artists often don’t have access to traditional art making materials, but their creativity isn’t hindered or limited. Think outside the box and find unlikely art-making objects for your next project! Consider making with discarded wood, window shade, mud, cardboard and more.
After our virtual gathering, we’ll ask you to share out what you made using the hashtag #ArtAfterWork. We’ll repost everyone’s art—think online gallery show. The IntuiTeam is looking forward to a night of social distance-approved creativity with you all!
