Woman Made Gallery Literary Series: Rights and Wrongs
Sunday, March 15, 2020 | 2-4 p.m.
2150 S Canalport Ave, 4A-3, Chicago, IL

In conjunction with the Gallery’s exhibit celebrating 100 years since women were given the right to vote in the United States, this reading will consider the many human rights persistently denied, violated and unenforced. Rights of workers, refugees, un/protected classes. Right to free speech, living wages, choice over one’s body. Freedom from persecution, discrimination, slavery, torture and degradation.

Lisa Buscani, Britny Cordera, Laura Johnson, Brenna Lemieux, Crystal Stone, and Rachel Jamison Webster will testify to wrongs, past and present, as well as the struggles to right them; including poems that shed light on victims, activists and even the people and systems that perpetrate and perpetuate injustice.

Please contact WMG prior to this event if you need any special accommodations.

All events are free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated. Please check WMG’s website for more details: https://womanmade.org/poetry/
