Delia Seeberg: Seeking Form
@ A Shot of Art at Perkolator
6032 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60634
Opening Sunday, December 8th, from 2PM - 4PM
On view through Saturday, January 19th
Come meet Chicago photographer Delia Seeberg and see her selection of work currently installed at Perkolator. “Seeking Form” is her first solo exhibition.
Seeberg began pursuing her photographic vision in the 90s at the Richard Stromberg photo classes at Jane Adams Hull House using film.
“For 30 years, I have worked with immigrants and refugees to aid them in gaining legal status in the U.S. Though this work—which I love—calls for some degree of resourcefulness, it primarily exercises the left side of my brain. Photography, meanwhile, allows me to stretch the muscles on the creative side of my brain, challenging me to explore and celebrate unique stories in familiar, everyday moments—stories that would otherwise go untold.
I am drawn to structure, pattern, shapes, and symmetry, be they natural or human-made. Whether clearly visible or waiting to be discovered, these elements are everywhere, limitless. This exhibit is my celebration of a years’-long game of Hide and Seek.”
