Explore this core question and more through Learning in Public, a series of three FREE events exploring public art and its relationships to Chicago communities, organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE). What does it take to create public art generated by and for the community it’s meant to serve? How and by whom are those projects instigated and sustained, and what perspectives do the various partners in this ecosystem bring to the table? What are the unique challenges and opportunities?
