Kelly Lloyd is an interdisciplinary conceptual artist who focuses on issues of representation and knowledge production and prioritizes public-facing collaborative research. Her work interchanges humor, denial, and the personal to maintain a level of indeterminacy that destabilizes stock relationships between looking, identifying, and understanding. Her current research centers on interviewing artists, art professionals, and cultural workers in the U.K., Central Europe, and Scandinavia about their livelihoods.

Kelly received a dual M.F.A. in Painting and M.A. in Visual & Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015. Recent projects include solo exhibitions at the Royal Academy Schools (London) and Institute for Contemporary Art Baltimore. Lloyd recently completed the Starr Fellowship at the Royal Academy Schools, is currently working with Beatrice Press on a series of essays about “Sexy Man Artists” and lives and works in London.
