The MCA’s Emerge group consists of donors who support the museum’s acquisition and education programs. Every year, this group selects and collectively funds the purchase of one major work by an artist not currently represented in the MCA Collection.
Emerge members cast their final votes in March 2025 to determine which artwork will be added to the MCA Collection.
About the Artists
This year, in collaboration with the MCA curatorial team, Emerge members proposed works by Ivan Argote (b. 1983, Bogota, Colombia; lives in Paris, France), Patricia L. Boyd (b. 1980, London; lives in London, UK, and New York, NY), and Diane Severin Nguyen (b. 1990, Carson, CA; lives in New York, NY) for consideration. Works by Argote, Boyd, and Nguyen will be on display at the museum from March 15–27, 2025.
