Arrested Adolescence: A Queer Look at Leopold and Loeb with Robert Kloss and Erik Rebain
@ Leather Archives & Museum
6418 N Greenview Ave, Chicago, IL 60626
Opening Sunday, February 9th, from 3PM - 4:30PM
Join us for a conversation between authors Erik Rebain and Robert Kloss, who will explore the motives, desires, and secrets of Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb: the infamous lovers who murdered their 14-year-old neighbor Bobby Franks “for a thrill.”
Kloss will share work from The Genocide House, featuring his fictional exploration of the desire between Leopold and Loeb. Rebain will give a presentation from his nonfiction book, Arrested Adolescence: The Secret Life of Nathan Leopold, examining Leopold’s life after their infamous murder, and bringing a much-needed queer perspective to Leopold’s later years. This presentation will incorporate previously unseen archival collections, exposing secrets kept hidden from history.
The talk will culminate with 30 minutes of Q&A conversation between the authors and the audience.
