ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is rooted in a deep passion for capturing the ever-changing beauty of the United States, my second home. I am moved by the profound appeal of American landscapes, and my goal is to show both my open, impressionistic style of painting and my enduring emotional response to that beauty.

BIO
Thomas Celewicz, a native of Poland who came to the U.S. in 1986, has been painting for over 30 years. After retiring 3 years ago, he turned this hobby into a daily occupation. He is also a jazz musician, playing trumpet and guitar. Tom is indebted to his art teacher, Ed Karnischer, at the College of Lake County, who encouraged him in his artistic endeavors.
