πPovos West Town – 1541 W Chicago
πππ¦π§π’π―π΅π¦ is a solo exhibition of multimedia works by the notorious Mexican artist, author, and filmmaker Leopoldo GoΓ»t. Reflecting a fierce maximalism, πππ¦π§π’π―π΅π¦ spans textile, bronze sculpture, painting, video, and sound. The exhibition, in its many degrees, explores the artistβs obsession with contradictions, dreams, and the ephemeral. International in its production and deeply referential to the artistβs decades-long career, πππ¦π§π’π―π΅π¦ presents image-making as a migratory tale.
The show is set to a deeply personal ambient soundtrack, Telar Adentro (composed by Oriana Gidi & Leopoldo GoΓ»t), which will be released on limited edition vinyl records. Preorder link in bio.
In addition to the exhibition, a career retrospective book and an international documentary further commemorate GoΓ»tβs loud return to the contemporary art world after more than a decade.
