A participatory installation and interactive performance at the collision of cathexis and catharsis, art appropriation and appreciation, the liberatory potential of song and the alienation of a machine collaborator, activated and actuated by a porous proscenium of players. Or, let’s say, karaoke.

Around 100 artisanal karaoke videos, drawing from across the musical landscape juxtaposed with the diffuse histories of artist-made film/video/performance, conceptual one-liners and dips into the archive we call the world. Like, Replacements and Samuel Beckett; The Proclaimers and Marina Abramovic + Ulay; Miley Cyrus and Gordon Matta-Clark; Blur and getting blurrier.
