Adam Gabbert – electric nylon-string guitar
Daniel Lewis – vibraphone, electronics
Erik Sowa – drum set, percussion
Adam Gabbert is a guitarist who focuses primarily on the nylon-string guitar. His approach to improvisation emphasizes listening and creating patterns. His training is primarily in the classical tradition.
Daniel T Lewis (he/they) is a multi-disciplinary composer, performer, and educator, a hobbyist gardener, and a resident of Berwyn, IL. Daniel performs all around Chicagoland in a wide variety of formats and genres, including contemporary classical, punk, indie rock, free improvisation, musical theater, and jazz. Daniel is also pioneering their JI Vibraphone project – exploring alternate Just Intonation tuning systems for the vibraphone and commissioning new compositions for those tunings. Erik Sowa is a Chicago based drummer/multi-instrumentalist whose musical directions are informed by post-rock, free jazz, ambient/noise, and afro-beat traditions. In recent years, Erik has collaborated with a wide range of performers of varied musical genres including Peter Maunu, Jeb Bishop, Norman Long, Ben Schmidt-Swartz, Mai Sugimoto, Thomas Comerford, and Snek Trio. In 2022, Erik released a self-titled solo album of instrumental compositions titled “Cedar Lake Recordings Vol. 1” which was reviewed in Dusted Magazine.
