“25 votives” celebrates both the grand reopening of the Evoke space, and the 25th birthday of the artist. The show aims to immerse its participants into a cold, blue night wandering the grounds of a place much older than ourselves. October’s work engages heavily with the customs and romance of the past, while incorporating the pressing reality of the future as technology grows around our bodies like an old tree.
