Don’t miss the rare chance to witness a Taíno Areyto, a ceremonial dance of the Taino, the indigenous people of Puerto Rico, Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti/Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas at The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture. Twenty members of the Concilio Taíno Guatu-Ma-cu A Borikén (Puerto Rico) are bringing this performance to Chicago for the first time! It’s a unique opportunity to learn about the Taíno Indigenous people of Puerto Rico (Borikén) and their rich traditions.

The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture has kindly set aside tickets for Humboldt Park Branch patrons to attend this special event. This is an off-site program at The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture (3015 W Division St.). Patrons of all ages are welcome to join!

Following the performance, feel free to join us on a stroll back to the Humboldt Park Branch!
