Who Loves the Sun?
@ Tala
1644 W Chicago Ave #1, Chicago, IL 60622
Opening Saturday, May 18th, from 10AM - 6PM
Tala’s summer public programming season is kicking off with a sun-filled, daytime celebration of sound, movement, and the city’s house music history in the gallery
DJs Leja Hazer and Inés pay tribute to the eclecticism of the Chicago sound, spinning Jazz, Funk, Soul, Disco, House and much more—a fitting sonic companion for the unveiling of Inés’ second issue of the Chicago Dancefloor Archive, devoted to interviews of the Taurean genius and architect of Chicago house, Ron Hardy. Special guest Stacey Collins, former employee of the famed Muzic Box, will help kick us off with a brief panel on the impact of Hardy and the Muzic Box. Early attendance is a must for those interested in the history of Chicago house music.
