OCFF 2024: FROM WOMEN FOR EVERYONE
@ Chicago Filmmakers
1326 W Hollywood Ave, Chicago, IL 60660
Opening Saturday, April 6th, from 5PM - 6:30PM
FROM WOMEN, FOR EVERYONE comes together from the abundance of this year’s submissions that focus on women’s rights and women’s empowerment. There are timely documentaries and animations that navigate what it means to end legal abortion in a post-Roe vs. Wade era; there are ones that promote self-acceptance, convey female subjectivities, and strive to inspire; there are subtle, poetic works that embrace motherhood and aging, ruminate on the sense of loss, or call for the necessity of mutual aid in an environment where support system goes missing.
