Not From Here with Eunji Kim
@ The Lincoln Lodge
2040 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647
Opening Thursday, April 18th, from 7:30PM - 9PM
It’s not easy being the kid with “stinky” packed lunches or parents who wear jeans to exercise. When you’re an immigrant kid, life can feel like a bizarre balancing act between two or more totally different cultures. Not From Here with Eunji Kim celebrates the joys, pains and idiosyncrasies of immigrant families as they move through life in the U.S. together. Guest storytellers will unpack their funniest memories of culture shock, reflecting on their families’ perseverance and revealing the beauty in growing up differently.
Join us on Thursday, April 18 at the Lincoln Lodge for an evening with Eunji and two special guests: Chicago drag performer Aunty Chan, and Sasha-Ann Simons, host of WBEZ’s Reset.
