The exhibition explores themes of fracture, time, and memory alongside the vitality of materials such as metal, stone and water. Influenced by experiences spent in abandoned junk and scrap metal yards, rocky terrains and urban landscapes, the artist draws inspiration from the dynamic lines, shapes and textures discovered in these spaces. The juxtaposition of rusting, crushed artifacts in the landscape symbolizes the object’s transformative nature. Traces of memories and the passage of time are captured among the rusting metal monuments and geological rock formations. The artworks primarily consist of black and white drawings, paintings and prints on paper utilizing ink, charcoal, acrylic paint, and mixed media techniques.
