Alex Puryear’s mixed media artworks collectively titled, ‘Hidden Substance.’ Puryear’s work emobdies themes of the surrealist ethos and dream navigation. According to the artist, “…substance has no name and no form. Substance is the absolute. The absolute to attain would be to understand the realm.”
Art City located at 1400 N. Halsted Street in Chicago from April 19 – May 19, 2024. An opening reception will be held on Friday, April 19, 5-8 pm. Free and open to the public.
