A New Language: Speaking With The Earth celebrates the earth as subject and object.
The artists in this show Doug DeWitt, Stacey Lee Gee, Eric Rosell and Vivian Visser each have a hands-on relationship with the qualities of the natural world. They create from their hearts and minds with what nature gives up. Their work begins a conversation about climate awareness, environmental justice, and a basic historic human connection to the land.
“There is a luxury in seeing nature and honoring nature,” says curator Pauline Kochanski. “My intention is to bring you the viewer a new and different way to consider a stone, a branch or piece of tree bark.”
