Join Project Onward and Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art at Epiphany Center for the Arts for a free guided tour of Project Onward’s “Saints & Sinners” exhibition. From Sereno Wilson’s glitter-festooned cherubs to Tony Davis’ highly detailed portrayals of pimps, hustlers, and prostitutes in comic-book style drama, the exhibit examines forces of good, evil and the divisions and commonalities of our collective humanity. Come early for Golden Hour music, grab a “Saints & Sinners” signature cocktail at the Café Bar, and then embark on an untamed tour of artwork that launched the Mardi Gras season and 2024 exhibits at Epiphany! About Project Onward
A leader in the field of disability arts for its innovative blend of accuracy, artistic excellence and social engagement, Project Onward is a nonprofit studio and gallery in Chicago with a mission to provide artists with disabilities the opportunity to create their work in a safe, supportive studio environment; connect artists with disabilities with the arts community and the general public; and inspire change by using art to promote empathy and reduce the stigma of mental illness and developmental disabilities.
About the Intuit Center
Intuit champions the diverse voices of self-taught art, welcoming both new and familiar audiences. Intuit presents the work of self-taught artists—also known as outsider art. These artists typically work outside the mainstream and may have faced societal, economic or geographic barriers to a traditional path of art making. By presenting a diversity of artistic voices, Intuit builds a bridge from art to audiences. The museum’s mission is grounded in celebrating each of our abilities to be powerfully creative. The instinct to create is universal and the arts must embrace, represent and be accessible to all.
