Please join us this Saturday the 20th as we celebrate Chloe Seibert’s 𝘗𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘴 with a closing reception and cocktail hour with the artist. The gallery will be open from 12-5pm with drinks served at 3.
Chloe Seibert’s work explores desire, societal performance and insurgency. Psychoangels presents five anthropomorphic animal/human hybrid figures adorned in elaborate battlesuits, rendered in ceramic and accented with body piercings and silver chains. The works are in varying states of completion/decay, implying a narrative of past use, and presented like relics under bright spotlight. Accompanying these figures are five wall mounted porcelain and stoneware breastplates. In this new body of work, the artist deepens her exploration of the avatar, weaponizing fantasy and mutable identity.
