My works reflect my environment and personal experiences. My art delves into my past, present, and potential future. It highlights the significance of my childhood, relationships, and African identity. Using figurative and portrait techniques to explore the concept of human excellence, particularly focusing on Black people as a form of identity. My works are characterized by a rich and dark color palette, symbolizing the unique beauty and resilience found within African culture.
Through blending and a light brush-work approach, I capture the essence of my subjects Infusing the creation with emotions and depth. Acrylic is a preferred medium, due to its quick drying properties, it enables me to experiment freely and bring this artistic vision to life.
My art serves as a form of freedom and self-expression, incorporating elements of my environment and drawing inspiration from renowned artists, creating artworks that resonate with viewers on a personal level. Through my unique artistic style and exploration of dark color, I use the style to celebrate the excellence and uniqueness of Black individuals while inviting viewers to contemplate their own identity and experience within the broader context of humanity.
In this body of work, I strive to capture the moments of individual, the intimate moods, which is made up of every moment that has the possibility of being a beautiful moment, documenting the minds that generate in the past or future wouldn’t be completed without the present.
