Divine Masculine, Divine Feminine
@ Pilsen Arts & Community House
1637 W 18th St, Chicago, IL 60608
Opening Friday, December 1st, from 6PM - 9PM
On view through Friday, December 22nd
The final Communal ArtSpace exhibition for the year starts December 1st!
Titled “Divine Masculine, Divine Feminine,” this Communal ArtSpace will be an exploration of transness, queerness and spirituality. As part of a spiritual practice for many and tethered to indigeneity, specific characteristics of divinity have become commonly associated with binary gender expressions–man and woman. In this exhibit, we will be pushing those societal bounds and freeing ourselves from the chains of construct as we tirelessly fight for liberation 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🍉🇨🇩✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼.
We invite you to take up space during this spiritually charged exhibit and share in the power of creativity during our opening activation on: December 1, 6-9pm at PACH
**Opening activation is free and donation based 🫶🏾
There will be 3 activations for this Communal ArtSpace in which some of our exhibiting artists will facilitate a workshop and guide community through a visual art collaboration.
Be ready to join us, take up space on our community canvas, and be the creative that you are.
Exhibiting artists: @spike.the.bz Spike Bahermez, @harmani_ceramics Harmani Ceramics, @riogp.arte Rio Perez, @tonals.corner Tonal Simmons, @kai.thee.artist Kai Key
